Haitian immigrants are a socially excluded growing demographic in the United States that deals with racism, anti-immigrant sentiment, anti-Haiti rhetoric, and language barriers. Information professionals need to understand information behavior, their cultural preferences, barriers order successfully fulfill needs. This article examines other disciplines’ relevant scholarly research literature on discover trends of behavior so Library Science field can create effective pathways support community. turn families trusted individuals for needs, due high-context oral culture. They utilize radio ICT networks connect transnationally. The challenges needs include overload, barriers, bias face-to-face communication, culture clash issues. mitigate these by providing outreach, access, excellent programming, bilingual resources reference, culturally competent staff.
